BPR First Quarter Regular Meeting Notice

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution & Bylaws Article V Section 3 and USAPA UOM Section 3 Paragraph I.a.1, the 1st Quarter Regular Meeting of the Board of Pilot Representatives will commence at 0900 ET on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014 and conclude at 1700 ET on Friday March 21st, 2014 or at the conclusion of business.

Motions, Resolutions, and Votes in this Recap are not official until Meeting Minutes are approved.

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution & Bylaws Article V Section 3 and USAPA UOM Section 3 Paragraph II.a.1, President Gary Hummel called a Special Meeting of the USAPA Board of Pilot Representatives commencing at approximately 0900 ET, Tuesday, February 11, 2014, to conclude no later than 1800 ET Wednesday, February 12, 2014 or the completion of this agenda. The meeting was held at the USAPA Offices in Charlotte. The agenda for this meeting is:

  1. Grievance review by Associate Counsel/ Director of Contract Compliance Matthew Bradley
  2. Briefing by Negotiating Advisory Committee
  3. Briefing by Merger Committee related to the protocol agreement.

In addition, American Airlines Senior VP of Flight Timothy Campbell and VP of Flight Captain John Hale were scheduled to meet with the BPR on Wednesday morning, February 12, 2014.

Special Meeting Status

Due to the Winter Storm affecting our Operations, American Airlines Senior VP of Flight Timothy Campbell and VP of Flight Captain John Hale have postponed their trip to Charlotte to meet with the BPR. Your BPR and Officers are trying to complete the Special Meeting Agenda today. Therefore, there is a high likelihood the meeting will be completed today and there will be no BPR Meeting tomorrow, February 12.

BPR Special Meeting Recap

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution & Bylaws Article V Section 3, and USAPA UOM Section 3 Paragraph II.a.1, President Gary Hummel called a Special Meeting of the USAPA Board of Pilot Representatives which commenced on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, to conclude at 12:00 CST on Thursday, January 16, 2014 or at the conclusion of business. This was a joint meeting with the APA Officers and Board of Directors held in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. The purpose and agenda for this meeting was: Joint JCBA discussion with the APA Board of Directors. At approximately 10 AM CST, the meeting was called to order by President Gary Hummel, with the Officers and BPR present (Eric Ferguson was the Duly Designated Representative (DDR) for PHX Vice Chairman Roger Velez).

A motion to approve the agenda as published was moved/seconded (Taylor/Music) and passed unanimously.

BPR Fourth Quarter Regular Meeting Recap - Day 6

Motions, Resolutions, and Votes in this Recap are not official until Meeting Minutes are approved. 

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution & Bylaws Article V Section 3 and USAPA UOM Section 3 Paragraph I.a.1., the 4th Quarter Regular Meeting of the Board of Pilot Representatives reconvened on Thursday, January 9, 2014. The meeting was held at the USAPA Offices in Charlotte.  Tom Mullen was the Duly Designated Representative for DCA Vice Chairman Pete Dugstad.

At approximately 0900 EST, President Gary Hummel began the meeting with an overview of two agenda items for today: Vice President's Report and a Legal Update.

 

Next, a motion to amend the agenda to include a discussion on dues reduction was moved/seconded by Frear/Scherff and passed unanimously.  While the motion on dues reduction was prepared, the BPR continued with the Vice President's Report.

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution & Bylaws Article V Section 3 and USAPA UOM Section 3 Paragraph II.a.1, President Gary Hummel is calling a Special Meeting of the USAPA Board of Pilot Representatives to commence at 0900 CST on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, and conclude at 1200 CST on Thursday, January 16, 2014 or at the conclusion of business. This will be a joint meeting with the APA Officers and Board of Directors. Because of the unique nature of this meeting, it will be held at the APA Headquarters in Dallas, and most likely will be closed for the majority of the meeting.

The purpose and agenda for this meeting is: Joint JCBA discussion with the APA Board of Directors.

Reconvening BPR Fourth Quarter Regular Meeting Reminder

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution & Bylaws Article V Section 3 and USAPA UOM Section 3 Paragraph I.a.1., the 4th Quarter meeting of the Board of Pilot Representatives will reconvene tomorrow, Thursday, January 9, 2014, at 0900 EST and conclude at the earlier of the completion of business or 1700 EST. The meeting will be held at the USAPA Offices in Charlotte.

This meeting is the continuation of the 4th Quarter meeting, so the Agenda remains as previously approved by the Board.
