BPR Second Quarter Regular Meeting Reminder

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution & Bylaws Article V Section 3 and USAPA UOM Section 3 Paragraph I.a.1, the 2nd Quarter Regular Meeting of the Board of Pilot Representatives will commence at 0900 ET on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, and conclude at 1700 ET on Thursday, June 26, 2014 or at the conclusion of business. The meeting will be held at the USAPA Offices in Charlotte.

The Agenda for the 2nd Quarter meeting is as follows (not in the order of business to be conducted):

  1. Officer Reports
  2. ASAP Review
  3. Negotiating Advisory Committee JCBA Update
  4. Merger Committee Update
  5. Committee Reports:
         a.  Scheduling Update - details on new reserve program

BPR Special Meeting Recap

On June 5, at approximately 9:05 ET, President Gary Hummel reconvened the BPR Special Meeting from April 28, for the purpose of officially adjourning the meeting. (Note – On April 28, the Conference Call Meeting was not properly adjourned since the conference call system terminated the call before adjournment.) This meeting, #106, originated on April 22. Rick Taylor was the Duly Designated Representative (DDR) for CLT Vice Chair Ron Nelson.

 

President Hummel began the meeting with some background details on the Flight 1702 accident in Philadelphia, and the need to provide expert support for the crew.

It will commence at 0905 ET on Thursday, June 5, 2014, and conclude at 1700 ET or at the conclusion of business. We anticipate most of this one-day meeting will be in closed session.

Prior to commencing the Special Meeting for June 5, President Gary Hummel will reconvene the Special BPR Meeting Conference Call from April 28 at 0900 ET, for the purpose of officially adjourning the meeting. Reconvened BPR Special Meeting Recap - Day 3

Motions, Resolutions, and Votes in this Recap are not official until Meeting Minutes are approved.

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution and Bylaws Article 5, Section 3 C; and the Union Operating Manual Section 3 III; the Board of Pilot Representatives Special Meeting from April 23, 2014 resumed by telephone conference call Monday, April 28, 2014, at 19:00 EDT. The agenda remained as previously approved by the Board. The Officers, Board of Pilot Representatives, Merger Committee, Merger Counsel Pat Szymanski, General Counsel Brian O'Dwyer, and Communications were on the call. PHL Vice Chairman John Taylor joined the call at approximately 19:25.

At approximately 19:03, President Gary Hummel called the meeting to order. He then turned the Chair over to VP Steve Bradford, since Steve had chaired the previous days of this special meeting. Steve briefly introduced the documents before the Board (the proposed Protocol Agreement, proposed Union Merger Transition Agreement, and proposed Global Settlement Agreement) and asked the Board to limit comments to 5 minutes at a time.

At approximately 19:08, a motion to accept the proposed Protocol Agreement, which was previously sent to the Board by the Merger Committee, was moved/seconded by Stein/Dugstad.

Reconvening BPR Special Meeting Notice

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution and Bylaws Article 5, Section 3 C; and the Union Operating Manual Section 3 III; the Board of Pilot Representatives Special Meeting from April 23, 2014 will resume by telephone conference call today, Monday, April 28, 2014, at 1900 EDT and adjourn at 2200 EDT or the conclusion of business. The agenda remains as previously approved by the Board.

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution & Bylaws Article V Section 3, and USAPA UOM Section 3 Paragraph II.a.1, President Gary Hummel called a Special Meeting of the USAPA Board of Pilot Representatives for April 22 at the USAPA offices in Charlotte, to conclude at 1800 ET or at the conclusion of business. David Braid was the Duly Designated Representative for PHX Vice Chairman Eric Ferguson. Paul DiOrio held proxy for CLT Vice Chairman Courtney Borman until Courtney's return from training at approximately 15:40.

The agenda for this meeting was:

  2. MTA Dispute # 1 Review

VP Steve Bradford chaired the meeting in President Hummel's absence. Steve called the meeting to order at approximately 13:10 ET. A motion to approve the agenda was moved/seconded by DiOrio/Music and passed 8 - 3 (Yes - CLT, DCA, PHL; No - PHX). Steve then asked the Board to first consider Agenda Item - MTA Dispute #1 Review.
